Thunderbolts Academy is a South African nonprofit company and public benefit organisation. We connect immediate support with long-term learning and opportunity through sport and digital skills.
Help Build A Dream is a commitment.
Talent is found in every community. Access to the resources, relationships and experiences that help it grow is uneven. We work with schools, families, sport bodies and local partners to make that journey more possible.
Our mission joins relief, rehabilitation and development. A family receiving essentials, a woman rebuilding confidence and a learner joining a handball or digital program may enter through different doors. Each deserves continuity, dignity and a route forward.
Our headquarters is in Cape Town. Eastern Cape and Gauteng sites extend the work through local relationships. In Zimbabwe, collaboration with Guruhuswa Foundation, Zimbabwe Handball Federation and All Race Tribes HC connects communities across borders. The academy's programs bring together young people across races, languages and cultures.

WHERE WE WORK
National in reach. Local in delivery.
Western Cape
Delft, Cape Town is the academy's home base. School, club and community programs extend across the Cape Town area and wider province.
Eastern Cape
Makhanda/Joza and Buffalo City are part of our Eastern Cape footprint and community partnership work.
Gauteng
Johannesburg and the provincial handball network, including collaboration with Gauteng Handball Federation.
